Barry Atsma is a Dutch actor. The family into which he was born moved many times, because Atsma's father worked as an expatriate for the Dutch-British multinational Unilever. Atsma spent parts of his youth in the United Kingdom, Greece, Brazil and the Netherlands. He took up the study of law, but soon switched to the Academy of Performing Arts in the Dutch town of Utrecht, where he graduated in 1996. He became known in the Netherlands through his role in the TV series Rozengeur& Wodka Lime.
